How We Handle Your Data

We take data security seriously. Here's exactly how we process your Trengo export, from API access to final delivery.

Export Format

The export contains all available data columns in a flat file structure. We deliver the data in Excel, CSV, and JSON formats, so you can easily look up, filter, or import conversations, contacts, notes, attachments, and more.

If you need a specific format or structure for your new platform, we can easily adapt the output to your requirements.

API Key Handling

We only need a temporary API key. You can create one in Trengo using a user with the appropriate read access.

You can share the key with us via a separate channel such as SMS, or simply by email. Whichever you prefer.

Once we have downloaded all the data, you can immediately revoke or delete the key. This is a very safe way of working and typically completes within 24 hours (depends on how many tickets you have in Trengo).

Data Processing & Storage Location

We are based in Belgium and all data resides temporarily on a local server in Belgium during processing.

To deliver the final export, we typically share an encrypted ZIP file via Google Drive. However, if you prefer, we can also store it on another service or even on an (S)FTP server you provide.

We are flexible and happy to accommodate your security requirements.
